The Franklin Senior High Winter Cheerleaders will be holding a food drive Monday to benefit Community Services of Venango County in Oil City and the Rocky Grove Food Pantry.
The food drive will take place Monday when the Franklin boys’ basketball team plays Meadville during the junior varsity game at 6 p.m. and the varsity game at 7:15 p.m.
In addition to being received at the cheerleaders’ table at the game, donations will also be accepted in the boxes outside the Franklin Area High School gym during the day.
Donations of non-perishable food in jars, cans and sealed packets will be accepted. Recommendations include sauces, beans, soups, vegetables in cans or jars, honey, peanut butter, candy, boxed juices, long-life milk, coconut cream and fish in oil.
Clothing will also be accepted.
