Franklin man charged after drugs found in home

A Franklin man is facing charges after drugs were found in his home.

Pennsylvania State Police said in a criminal complaint that at about 8 a.m. Thursday, members of the state police Drug Law Enforcement Division Northwest Strike Force executed a search warrant at the 144 Pearl St. residence in Franklin of Dustin Hanna, 36.

Authorities found 225 grams of meth, 250 grams of marijuana, 50 THC vapes and psilocybin mushroom edibles and drug paraphernalia, as well as a rifle and two pistols, the complaint said.

Hanna was taken into custody and “claimed ownership of the seized items,” the complaint said.

He was charged with three felony counts of possession of firearm prohibited, two felony counts of manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver, four misdemeanor counts of possession of a controlled substance and one misdemeanor count of use/possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was arraigned Thursday and placed in the Venango County jail after being unable to post bail, and his preliminary hearing is scheduled Wednesday in Central Court.
