Haggerty’s Ice Cream and More, a popular Franklin-based eatery, has opened a second location on Main Street in Oil City, eliminating the need for locals to travel for their favorite treats. The ribbon-cutting ceremony drew several community members, celebrating owner Dotty Haggerty’s expansion nearly six years after starting the business. Haggerty, a culinary veteran with over 30 years of experience, chose the long-vacant site for its potential and plans to offer a full menu of food and ice cream daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Unlike the seasonal Franklin location, the Oil City branch may operate year-round, aiming to fill a local dining gap and build on Haggerty’s strong reputation.
