Kennerdell woman facing burglary, assault charges

From staff reports

State police say a Kennerdell woman is facing felony charges for letting herself into a Rockland Township residence Monday and hitting and punching another woman in the home.

Franklin state police said Stacey Nichols, 38, and her daughter came to a Hornberg Road residence “unwelcomed and unannounced,” police said.

After letting herself into the house, Nichols went into the kitchen where an argument started between her and another woman, police said. Nichols charged the woman and began punching and hitting her repeatedly, according to police.

Police said the other woman had a black eye and a scratch on her face as a result of Nichols’ attack.

Nichols has been charged with a felony count of burglary-overnight accommodations with person present and bodily injury crime, a misdemeanor count of simple assault and a summary count of harassment.

She was arraigned before district judge Patrick Lowrey.

Her preliminary hearing is scheduled Sept.18 in Venango County Central Court.
