Laughter and mystery ahead this weekend

It will be a night for comedy at the Oil City Moose on Saturday when three raucous comedians headline the Oil City Moose Lodge event. Lisa Dapprich, Mike Jones and Kevin Whelan will be headlining the night of laughter and fun!

Doors open at 7 p.m. with an 8 p.m. showtime. You can use the time beforehand to participate in the cash bar or buy some food. The night is for patrons 21 years old or older and is otherwise open to the public at 541 Halyday Run Road in Oil City. Admission costs $10 for newcomers and $5 for Moose members.

Someone would say dinner theater is a lost art. Others would just go to a new one this upcoming Friday at the Park Inn by Radisson from 5 to 8 p.m. WRC Senior Services presents the “Mobsters, Molls and Marinara” dinner theater at 45 Holiday Inn Road in Clarion.

Killer food and an even deadlier story are set to be the main attractions Friday for up to 150 willing souls. Tickets cost $55 for one person, but you can make it a date for only $100. If you want to be really ambitious, get a group of eight friends and $400 to have the mystery dinner adventure of your lifetime!

The 4th Annual Outdoor Recreation Show will take place this weekend from Thursday through Saturday at the Clarion Mall. The Clarion Area Chamber of Business and Industry event will provide this great opportunity for outdoors enthusiasts to share their passions in everything from geocaching to kayaking.

CU Movies on Main will be showing “Carol” this weekend starting at 7 p.m. Friday with additional showings at 10 p.m. Saturday and a 2 p.m. matinee Sunday. Another film filled with strong actresses, “Suffragette” will show at 10 p.m. Friday and 7 p.m. Saturday.
