Ralph Eugene “Gene” Maul of President Township will celebrate his 90th birthday on Wednesday, marking a life shaped by engineering, community service and outdoor pursuits. A 1954 Cranberry High School graduate, Maul worked as a design engineer at Oilwell Supply, where he helped design equipment for local industry, and later owned Oil City Canoe Sales. He also served 25 years as President Township fire chief and as a township supervisor, while remaining active in local churches and shooting sports. Married to his wife Marcia for 66 years, Maul enjoys time with his family and friends, who invite the community to help celebrate his milestone birthday at a public reception Saturday in Seneca.
