Nifty at 90: Woman’s devotion is to God and family

Norma Jean Hart Gaw of Rockland Township is celebrating her 90th birthday today. Born in Bakerstown as one of seven children, Norma graduated from Mars High School in 1954 and married Heberton “Rick” Gaw the following year. Together they raised four children, though two passed away in childhood, and later enjoyed winters in Florida before settling permanently in Rockland Township in 1968. Known for her cooking, hospitality, and love of family, Norma worked for VNA Home Care before retiring. Norma enjoys crocheting afghans, reading her Bible daily, attending gospel festivals, and cherishing time with loved ones.
