Oakland Township’s Veterans Banner Project is entering Phase 2 after strong community support and the successful creation of 55 banners honoring local veterans and service members. The next round of orders runs through Dec. 14, with registration forms available at the township building and submissions accepted via email or mail. Each banner costs $64, and donations are welcome to help cover mounting bracket expenses. The banners will be displayed from Memorial Day through Veterans Day, and the Veterans Banner Committee will meet Dec. 10 to wrap up Phase 1 and plan for the next steps.
