OC student accused of assaulting teacher

A 17-year-old Oil City High School student is facing multiple charges after she allegedly assaulted a teacher Tuesday morning.

Oil City police said officers received a report of a teacher being assaulted shortly before 10 a.m.

Officers determined the teacher was struck and kicked, but did not need medical treatment, police said.

The student was taken into custody and transported to the Oil City police station where she was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault and harassment.

Juvenile probation/court supervision was contacted and advised of the incident and pending charges, police said.
