Oil City father and son face drug charges

A father and son from Oil City, Richard “Tom” Brichard, 45, and his son Zevin Brichard, 19, have been charged with drug offenses after police say they were selling fentanyl in the area. The charges followed an Aug. 10 incident in which a woman overdosed outside a residence on Hiland Avenue, leading police to uncover stamp baggies of fentanyl in a vehicle and later at the Brichards’ home. Witnesses told police they had purchased drugs from the pair multiple times, and Richard was found with 20 baggies of fentanyl on him during a search. Both face felony and misdemeanor charges, with Richard being denied bail due to multiple warrants and being deemed a threat to society, while Zevin faces an additional paraphernalia charge.
