Richland trailer ‘total loss’ after fire

From staff reports

There were no reported injuries in a trailer fire that broke out a little before 7 a.m. Monday on Community Road in Richland Township.

Emlenton assistant fire chief Chris Prosser described the trailer in the area of 2419 Community Road as a “total loss.”

Prosser said firefighters on their arrival found a single white trailer that was “heavily involved.” He said there were no occupants inside the structure.

The origin of the fire, he said, is under investigation.

Clintonville, Parker City, St. Petersburg, Knox, Rockland, Kennerdell, Seneca and Eau Claire volunteer firefighters also responded along with Emlenton Area Ambulance Service, according to Prosser.

The scene cleared at about 11:30 a.m.

The fire is still under investigation and was turned over to the state police fire marshal, Prosser said.
