Rocky Grove graduate co-authors new book

Rocky Grove High School alumna Deanna Kelly, a renowned psychiatric researcher and director at the University of Maryland Psychiatric Research Center, is set to release a new book on June 19 titled *“Get Your Brain off Grain.”* Co-authored with two colleagues, the book explores the connection between gut health, immunity, and brain function, highlighting how gluten sensitivity may affect conditions like schizophrenia, autism, anxiety, and more. It also offers guidance on gluten sensitivity testing, the challenges of a gluten-free lifestyle, and available resources. Kelly, a Duquesne graduate now living in York, has an extensive research background with over 220 published articles and numerous accolades, including being named one of Maryland’s Top 100 Women in 2023.
