Ryan and Sara Irwin of Seneca, married just over three years, both set record times to win the men’s and women’s divisions at the third annual Pioneer Pursuit 5K at Butler County Community College. Ryan, 41, finished in 18:15, while Sara, 31, crossed in 19:52, besting previous winners. The event, held Sept. 13 on BC3’s Shaffer Walking Trail, drew 54 runners ages 13 to 76, plus walkers and kids dashers, raising $10,900 for the college’s athletics programs.
