Locally, Saint Elizabeth Center, Catholic Rural Ministry of the Oil City Deanery, St. Stephen School, Venango Catholic High School, St. Joseph Parish, St. Mary Parish and St. Titus parish will be among the participants.

The effort is being is facilitated by the Catholic Foundation of Northwest Pennsylvania for Catholic organizations in the Erie Diocese.

Donors can visit erie.igivecatholic.org on Nov. 28 or anytime during the advanced giving window that is now up and running through Nov. 27.

Those wishing to donate by check can submit their gift to the ministry of their choice during the same timeframe.

Participating ministries are eligible to win cash prizes by attaining predetermined goals on the day of the event and during the advanced giving period.

A total of $26,000 will be awarded from a cash prize pool thanks to event sponsors and an anonymous donor dedicated to supporting the Catholic community.
