Foxburg Borough Council approves ownership transfer of caboose

Foxburg Borough Council had to revote on the transfer of ownership of its railroad caboose to local businessman Saji Daniel after a legal technicality voided the original May vote. Daniel plans to keep and restore the caboose in Foxburg, though its final location is undetermined. In other business, Council President Ben Allison said he received positive feedback from the University of Pittsburgh about using Foxburg’s drainage issues as a student engineering project. Meanwhile, officials are frustrated over delays in contacting the PA Rural Water Association after paying for services to help locate drains in town. Additionally, the borough is awaiting a response on potential paving projects from municipal services representative Mark Skarbek.
