Valley Grove revises school calendar for Veterans Day

The Valley Grove School Board this week approved the tentative 2024-25 school year calendar, but there is a revision.

Students had been scheduled to have Friday, Nov. 8, off in observance of Veterans Day and school would have been in session on Monday, Nov. 11. But, board members voted to have classes in session on Nov. 8 and have the day off for Veterans Day.

Vo-tech will have classes on Veterans Day, so Rocky Grove High School students in Vo-tech will have the option of attending those classes, Superintendent Kevin Briggs said.
