Christmas Tree Lane scheduled in Cochranton

From staff reports

Christmas Tree Lane, the annual fundraiser for the Cochranton Community Fair Parade, is scheduled to run Nov. 17 to 19.

There are still openings for anyone interested in entering trees for viewing and competition in this year’s event, which is themed “Christmas Around the World.” The deadline to apply is Nov. 10. All entries must be received by that date (not postmarked) to provide enough time to create a floor plan.

The categories of trees include adult with manufactured ornaments, adult with hand-crafted ornaments, adult with combination ornaments (manufactured and hand-crafted), adult organization trees (community and religious organizations, i.e., nonprofit), commercial trees (businesses, i.e., for-profit), adult miniature trees (under 3 feet, individual, commercial and organization), youth individual miniature (under 3 feet), youth organization trees (full-size), youth individual trees (full-size) and adult/youth: Family Combined Tree (combined age groups, any ornaments).

There will be ribbon prizes for trees. Additionally, the St. Nicholas Award will be awarded to the tree that most exemplifies the spirit of the organization that created the tree.

Those interested may apply at www.cochrantonevents.com, where details are available.

There also is room for a limited number of crafters and vendors (one table maximum), but those spots are almost filled. Fees are listed on the website.
