Cranberry School District students were honored with the Larry Walker SEI (Service, Effort and Initiative) Memorial Awards at Monday’s Cranberry Lions Club meeting. The biannual award recognizes three students in grades 7 and/or 8 who demonstrate exemplary service, effort and initiative in their school and community. The winners were nominated and selected by their teachers and school counselor. Lion Joe Cangemi and counselor Lori Corbett presented the winners at the dinner. Each winner received several gifts from the Lions Club. Lions President Doug Beal (left) and Cangemi (right) are pictured with winning students Abigail Powell-Sliker (second from left) Malena Brooks and Trevor Evans.
