Drugs, African wildcats seized in Clearfield County

Two Clearfield County residents, Jennifer Dixon and Nicholas Rumsey, were arrested on drug trafficking and child endangerment charges after authorities seized methamphetamine, fentanyl, heroin, and cash during a search of their Lawrence Township home. In an unusual twist, officers also discovered two illegally possessed African wildcats caged in the basement. The bust, led by the state Attorney General’s Bureau of Narcotics and several law enforcement agencies, kept nearly 8,000 doses of fentanyl off the streets. The Pennsylvania Game Commission is investigating the wildcat possession, and local officials praised the operation for protecting both public safety and animal welfare.
