Endangered man found dead in Armstrong County

Kittanning state police confirmed the body of a 20-year-old man who was reported as endangered after his vehicle was found on the Emlenton Bridge last month has been found.

Police said the body of Colt Snyder was found floating in the Allegheny River in the Templeton area of northern Armstrong County on Saturday evening.

Police said they received a call from a resident of the area after seeing the body floating in the river at about 7:30 p.m.

Police said, “no foul play is suspected at this time.”

Clarion state police began the search for the Dayton, Pennsylvania, man after his vehicle was found on the Emlenton Bridge on Interstate 80 on April 30 at about 11:20 p.m. Emergency crews found the engine running.

Police said attempts to contact Snyder at his residence had yielded no results, and a search of the surrounding area also was conducted.

Police said contact was made with Snyder’s family, and it was determined he was last seen leaving their residence in his vehicle at about 4:30 p.m. on April 30.
