Entries still being accepted for Nature Art Showcase

Entries are still accepted for the Feb. 2–3 Nature Art Showcase and Sale.

The free public display is held in the lobby of the Barrow-Civic Theatre in downtown Franklin from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2, and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 3.

Original artwork depicting outdoor recreation, natural resources and landscapes that has already been registered includes acrylic paintings, oil paintings, pastels, graphite drawings, pottery, stained glass mosaics in unusual settings, traditional and digital 2-D and 3-D photography, wood carvings, wood furniture, felted fabric art and other media.

Each participating artist may enter one or two items of any size.

While the official event program is going to print this week, there is still space available at the Barrow for additional participants.

Participating artists have a choice of paying a $10 registration fee or volunteering at least two hours of service during preparations for or at the public event.

Registration packets may be picked up at Titusville Council on the Arts on West Spring Street, Victorian City Art & Frame on Liberty Street in Franklin, French Creek Framing and Fine Art across from Meadville Market House in Meadville, Transit Art Gallery on Seneca Street in Oil City, and the Penn Soil Resource Conservation & Development Council on Conewango Avenue in Warren.
