Butler state police said a Franklin man and a Slippery Rock woman suffered fatal injuries when the motorcycle they were riding on collided with a car Friday at 4 p.m.
According to police, Gary L. Redmond, 68, was operating a 2008 Yamaha XVS 1300 and was traveling with his passenger, Jeannie M. Summers, 51, north on Route 8 in Slippery Rock Township late Friday afternoon.
Police said a 2009 Dodge Caliber, driven by Kelsey E. Kasper, 23, of Slippery Rock, made a left turn from Branchton Road, and then proceeded onto Route 8 but did not yield to the motorcycle, which led to the collision.
Slippery Rock VFC and Rescue Team responded and transported Summers to Grove City Medical Center, police said.
