Friends of Drake Well to host annual Oil Boom Historic Dinner

Friends of Drake Well will hold its fourth annual Oil Boom Historic Dinner at Drake Well Museum and Park in Titusville on Sept. 25. Doors will open at 6 p.m. followed by remarks and dinner at 6:30 p.m.

Tickets are $75, which includes dinner and one complimentary beverage. Proceeds will benefit the David L. Weber internship program at Drake Well Museum, which is given to a graduate level student interested in conducting historical research at the Museum in the summer season.

The menu will feature historical dishes from recipes of those who lived in Titusville during the oil boom of the 19th century.

Volunteers dressed as historical residents will also be in attendance to share accounts of what life was like in the historic Oil Region.

Catering will be provided by The Titusville Mill and beverages from Before the Barrel Distillery of Erie will also be featured.
