Interactive map highlights renewable energy projects in state

From staff reports

The PennEnvironment Research & Policy Center unveiled its Clean Energy Commonwealth map Tuesday.

The new interactive map highlights one renewable energy efficiency project in each of the state’s 67 counties, and the map shows the vibrancy and growth of the clean energy sector across Pennsylvania.

Oil Creek State Park is highlighted in Venango County.

With this map, Pennsylvanians can explore innovative clean energy projects county by county, see what their neighbors are doing, and learn how they can contribute to the momentum behind clean energy adoption, according to a press release from PennEnvironment.

Renewable energy projects are on the rise all across the state, and the total energy production of the projects is enough to power more than half a million Pennsylvania homes annually, the press release said.
