Nearly 20 children arrived at the Oil City Library on Friday morning dressed in costumes for a special Halloween Storytime event.
Parents and children enjoyed spooky stories, a lively bubble party and a Halloween craft session to wrap up the morning.
Oil City Library Assistant Director Annie Welsh theatrically read three stories to a crowd of children dressed as a variety of characters, including princesses, fairies, animals, Super Mario and Spider-Man.
After the stories, the children eagerly got up from their seats to jump and dance among bubbles filling the library’s reading area.
Parents relaxed and watched as their children laughed and played.
To conclude the event, everyone took part in a Halloween craft activity, creating colorful haunted house collages with paper cutouts.
Parents and children worked together to make decorative pictures to take home as festive keepsakes.
