A little more than a year after a fire burned down the Log Cabin Restaurant, the popular Seneca business is back.

It was opening day at the rebuilt restaurant on Friday and it was apparent word got out quickly, as one employee remarked “It looks like someone was on Facebook.”

About three-dozen cars filled the lot close to lunchtime, an equal amount of people were inside eating meals and about two-dozen other people patiently waited to be seated.

Melissa Scrivens, who owns the business with her husband, Josh, said “I wasn’t sure” that opening day would bring this kind of public response and “we’re running a little behind” in keeping up, but “we are grateful” for the support.
