OC Arts Council sets speakeasy

The Oil City Arts Council will hold its third Immersive Speakeasy from 7 to 11 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, at the National Transit Building.

Max Schang’s Sweet Atmosphere jazz band will provide music from the 1930s. Members of the band are Max Schang, Clint Hoover, Jim Spears and Steve McMurray.

There will also be trained craft cocktail bartenders from Pittsburgh who will make craft cocktails and a few more simple cocktails at the cash-only bar.

A variety of appetizers from the 1920s and 1930s era will be provided by Homegrown Kitchen of Franklin.

Tickets for the event cost $35 per person. Only 50 tickets will be sold.

Participants are encouraged to dress in 1920s-era attire.
