The 2025 Oil Valley Film Festival will return this weekend for its ten-year anniversary, continuing its tradition of bringing global cinema to Venango County.
Sixteen films from six countries will be screened across two venues: the Oil City Library (Sept. 5–6) and 237 Catering (Sept. 7). The festival opens Friday at 10 a.m. with the Feature Film Program. The Short Film Program will begin Saturday at 10 a.m. at the library and then continue Sunday at 237 Catering.
Founded in 2016, the festival has featured Academy Award, Golden Globe and Tony winners. Admission is free.
Attendees are welcome to wear masks indoors. Organizers note the event offers a relaxed setting designed for film appreciation and conversation.
