Pet first aid class to benefit Franklin Rotary dog park

Franklin Animal Clinic will host a pet first aid class Saturday to raise funds for the Franklin Rotary Club’s planned dog park near Miller-Sibley Park. Two sessions, led by veterinarians and staff, will cover topics like heatstroke, bandaging, and emergencies, with participants rotating through small-group stations and receiving a pet first aid booklet. A $15 donation is suggested at the door, with proceeds going toward the $110,000 project, of which $42,000 has already been raised. Pre-registration is encouraged as spots are filling quickly, and additional fundraising events, including professional pet photos in November, are planned.
