Reno boil water advisory lifted

The boil water advisory for Venango Water Company customers has been lifted, as of Wednesday afternoon.

“Based on test results received today for samples collected after the presence of coliform bacteria in initial samples collected from bulk water trunks that supplement water supply … you no longer need to boil your water for consumption,” a copy of the email sent to Aqua customers, which was shared on social media, said.

Monday Aqua issued the boil water advisory “due the presence of coliform bacteria in initial samples collected from bulk water trucks that supplement water supply in the system. Aqua is issuing this notice out of an abundance of caution as additional samples are being collected,” according to an email sent to customers.

The bulk water, was delivered to the Venango Water Company Sunday and tested according to the Environment Protection Agency standards, the advisory said.
