Truck driver criminally charged; police say man’s vehicle struck tow driver on I-80 in July

Jugraj Singh, 32, of Indianapolis, has been criminally charged in Clarion County in connection with a July 7 Interstate 80 crash in Richland Township that injured tow operator Scott Reges, who has also filed a federal civil lawsuit. State police allege Singh’s semitractor drifted onto the shoulder and struck both a disabled truck and Reges, while Singh claimed the tow operator entered the roadway. Singh faces a felony count of aggravated assault by vehicle and multiple traffic violations, with a preliminary hearing set for Jan. 13, as the related federal negligence case continues.
