Volunteer drivers needed to help transport veterans

From staff reports

Erie VA Medical Center’s DAV Volunteer Transportation Network is looking for individuals who are detail-oriented, reliable and enjoy working with veterans to volunteer as a driver in the Venango County area.

The DAV Volunteer Transportation Network is a courtesy service run by volunteers to help veterans who have no other means of transportation by providing free rides to their VA medical appointments.

Volunteers are specifically needed in the Franklin and Oil City areas to transport area veterans to and from their medical appointments at the Venango County VA Clinic and Erie VA Medical Center.

Requirements for becoming a volunteer driver include passing a fingerprint background check, passing a physical, and completing volunteer orientation at the Erie VAMC.
