From staff reports

A joint workshop sponsored by the Clarion County Emergency Management Agency and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security focused on making local houses of worship safe will be held next month.

Bob Winters, a protective security advisor from the Pittsburgh office of Homeland Security, will speak on “Security for Houses of Worship” from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23, at the Trinity Point Church of God, 180 West Trinity Drive, Clarion.

The Clarion EMA suggests pastors, rabbis, priests, clergy, lay people, church staff, Sunday school teachers, board members, ushers, greeters, custodians, elders, deacons or any servant-leader of any faith should attend.

There is no cost to attend, and pre-registration is required by calling (814) 297-7910.
