CATA GO makes 10,000th trip in Titusville

From staff reports

In less than three months since CATA GO of Titusville made its 5,000th trip, it made its 10,000th trip on Monday.

In celebration of the event, frequent rider Larry Okorn was presented with a gift card and congratulations from the staff at the Crawford Area Transportation Authority.

Okorn, a Titusville resident, said he “couldn’t ask for any better people to help me with my transportation to Titusville Hospital.”

Since its inception last July, CATA GO replaced the standard fixed route service in Titusville. The CATA GO vans pick riders up within 10-15 minutes after a trip is scheduled.

The fare for a one-way trip is $1.50, and seniors and children under six ride for free, just as they did with the old fixed route service.

The service operates from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and from noon to 5 p.m. Saturdays.
