The city of Franklin distributed 504 food boxes to households in early January through a one-time community food distribution program funded by its Community Development Block Grant, aimed at improving food access in eligible neighborhoods. The multiday effort brought together city staff, volunteers and community partners, with support from CATA for transportation and Gahr’s Hamloaf for delivery assistance, and featured nearly 20 volunteers from local organizations and agencies working together to serve residents.
