The Venango County Democratic Party and the Venango-Clarion Chapter of the Northwest Pennsylvania Area Labor Federation are continuing their tradition of delivering free Christmas meals to elderly and homebound residents, with deliveries starting at 11 a.m. on Christmas Day and an in-person community dinner offered at 1 p.m. in Oil City. This year’s homemade holiday meals—prepared by John Kluck and his mother, Dianne—include ham, potatoes, vegetables, fresh rolls and cookies, made possible by volunteers and community donations. Residents can reserve a delivered meal online or by phone by Dec. 21, and meals will be provided in reusable containers. The effort is supported by local volunteers, and anyone wishing to help by volunteering, baking cookies or donating is encouraged to contact Kluck.
