The North Clarion School Board has approved a co-op agreement with Clarion-Limestone to give students the chance to join a competitive cheerleading team, similar to other partnerships that expand extracurricular opportunities for the district’s small student body. With just over 600 students expected in 2025-26, North Clarion often teams up with neighboring schools to offer activities they can’t support alone. The new cheer program, also involving Clarion High School, comes at no cost to North Clarion, and students in grades 7-12 can already play football through a co-op with Clarion Area and Clarion-Limestone, competing together as the Clarion Wildcats. Parents and volunteers provide transportation to practices, keeping expenses minimal.
