Snow leads to minor traffic accidents

Scattered snowfall throughout the day Friday led to a handful of motor vehicle accidents across Venango County.

A dispatcher with Venango County 911 said a tractor trailer got stuck while traveling on Seneca Hill in Cranberry Township just before 3:45 p.m. due to the slick conditions.

Franklin state police said the incident forced the hill to be closed to traffic from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.

About an hour prior to the Seneca Hill closure, a vehicle had to be towed following an accident on Rocky Grove Avenue and Warren Road in Sugarcreek Township.

Other accidents took place on Pittsburgh Road in Clintonville, Allegheny Boulevard in Reno, Liberty and 13th streets in Franklin and Main Street in Oil City.

The 911 dispatcher said no injuries were reported from any of the accidents.
