Despite the frigid weather, Sugarcreek Borough Police, in conjunction with Community Services of Venango County, received over $1000 worth of non-perishable food items, personal hygiene products and other items during their ninth annual food drive on Sunday.
Police and Community Services expressed their thanks to all those who donated and those who helped with the food drive, including Wal-Mart, where the drive was held.
“Each year the Venango County community steps up and helps their fellow citizens in their time of need, proving that Venango County is incredibly supportive of their neighbors and a great place to live,” Sugarcreek Police said in a press release.
