West Forest 4th grade students and 10th grade Academic Science students had the opportunity to stock trout on Wednesday, April 13, 2016. The students spent the afternoon releasing trout into Little Hickory Creek. WCO Erik Shellgren joined the students and discussed the proper techniques for releasing the fish. Thefield trip was a follow up from a January trip to the Tionesta Fish Hatchery. During that visit, the students learned the process of raising the trout from egg to fry to mature fish for release.
